He was the voice of reason, in a town full of, well, kids who worshipped a creepy corn god. I definitely did not like him at first! He was too careful... then I kinda started to like the character. He was just trying to survive, man. Gotta respect that.

And then there was Linda Hamilton (no, not the Sarah Connor Terminator one - there were a lot of Lindas around back then!), I believe she was in it, too. She was only in this installment of the franchise. She's a great actress.

I always felt like the leads were kind of…underwhelming compared to the atmosphere of the movie. The movie itself is more effective. It really makes you feel the creepiness and isolation of Gatlin. But the leads didn't really leave a lasting impact, not compared to, say, Isaac in the original.
