I’ve been following the Rams for years, through thick and thin (mostly thin, let's be honest), so I've seen my fair share of wins, losses, and performances that left me scratching my head. Overall Performance: A Mixed Bag

Honestly? A draw felt about right. We had our moments, fantastic moments even, but also spells where we looked… well, let’s just say there's room for improvement. Our defensive organization needs a serious work-out. More communication is also a massive issue. We need to be more organized, anticipate the plays, and work together as a well-oiled machine!

A pretty even performance from the midfielders. Some creative plays, good control in the middle of the pitch at times, and some good distribution but we need a more dominating presence and leadership in the center of the park. Need to build from the back better. More aggressive pressing and winning the ball back quicker would massively improve our attacking efficiency.

Forwards (Overall): 7/10

Our attack showed some real promise, with some neat link-up play and chances created. The finishing could have been sharper, though. We were wasteful at times, and that’s something we have to correct quickly. We have the skill, but we must translate that skill into goals. No good creating opportunities and not capitalizing.

Key Tactical Observations & Lessons Learned

I don't want to sound like a know-it-all, but our pressing needed work. We need to be more organized and aggressive in our press, forcing errors and creating turnovers. Sunderland found far too much space at times. There were also several instances of players not being in the right positions, leading to defensive breakdowns.
