Maybe it was just my impatience, but it felt like they were moving at a snail's pace. And the wayfinding within the station itself could've been better. While the main signage was fantastic, I got a little lost trying to find the nearest exit to grab my usual breakfast kaya toast. (Priorities, people!). It turned out there is this awesome little bakery tucked away which made my morning extra good, so I wasn't complaining too much.

• Amenities: There's the usual – vending machines, toilets, and seating areas. Don’t expect anything more exciting than that unless they add other stores and amenities soon.

• Download the MyTransport App: This app is a life saver for real-time updates and route planning. It’s also pretty neat for paying fares.

The Verdict: A Welcome Addition to the DTL

Overall, the opening of Hume station is a massive win for commuters in the area. The addition of this new station improves connectivity and reduces travel time significantly for many people. It’s a much-needed addition to the Downtown Line and eases the travel pressure on other stations.
