Oscar Nominations 2025: Will Wicked Sweep the Academy Awards?

Costume Design: The costumes in Wicked are iconic. Think about those vibrant, dramatic dresses. The sheer amount of detail and artistry involved deserves major recognition; this is a sure thing, even if the movie bombs.

Sound Mixing: The epic scale of the musical numbers demands impeccable sound design. They'll need the best of the best! The Academy's sound mixers will need to be on top of their game.

Makeup and Hairstyling: Glinda's hair alone could win an award! I mean, how do they even do that? And Elphaba's makeup transformation throughout the film? That's some serious artistry.

Beyond the Technical: Potential for Acting and Directing Nominations

Now, let's be realistic. While Wicked has the potential to dominate the technical categories, predicting acting nominations is always a crapshoot.
