So, what’s a tattooed job seeker to do? Don’t despair! It’s absolutely possible to find a job that accepts you for your entire awesome self, ink and all. Here are some tips I've picked up along the way:

• Cover-ups: Strategic clothing choices can be your BFF. Long sleeves, cardigans, and even cleverly placed jewelry can help conceal tattoos. Practice this ahead of time so you feel comfortable and don't look like you're trying too hard.
• The portfolio speaks for itself: Let your skills and experience do the talking. A strong resume and a killer portfolio will help overshadow any concerns about your appearance.
• Research Companies with Inclusive Cultures: Look for companies known for their diverse and accepting workplaces. Many companies are actively promoting inclusivity. Do your research; the internet is a powerful tool.
• Honesty (Sometimes): If a potential employer brings up your tattoos, handle it with grace and professionalism. You could say something like, "Yes, I have tattoos, but I'm confident my skills and experience are the perfect fit for this role.” But, remember, you are not obligated to disclose anything.

Remember that being yourself is key. Don't change who you are for a job. Focus on companies that align with your values and create a great work environment. And hey, there are tons of companies out there that don't care about tattoos or clothing choices. You just need to find them!
